The American Rescue Plan Act signed into law by President Biden on March 11 provides some significant benefits to American workers who continue to face the struggles of the pandemic. Several provisions have a direct impact on businesses of all sizes. One of the most labor intensive provisions from a compliance perspective is the obligation to provide certain eligible employees with subsidized COBRA premiums. In Massachusetts, an employer only needs 2 employees for this obligation to apply and notice requirements must be completed by May 31st.
