This workshop is a global overview of grant writing basics. It includes but is not limited to researching key search engines and how to cultivate funders before attempting to write a basic grant template. Then, it focuses in on building a grant by walking through each grant section, followed by a brief look at evaluation and outcome, and hallmarks of excellence that drive a proposal.
Attendees will walk away with:
- A basic knowledge of techniques to draft a winning proposal for various funders
- How to update existing proposals with some new tips and tricks
- An understanding of why certain proposals are rejected and how to course correct

Presenter:
Sunny Stich is a creative and enthusiastic, fund development professional with over twenty-five years of proven results in helping non-profit agencies increase capacity. Throughout her career, she has utilized an innovative and collaborative style to help over eighty organizations actualize their missions through a gamut of services around fundraising and capacity building. Sunny has done this through grant writing by writing state, federal, private, corporate, and foundation grants; raising major donor funds; undertaking capital campaigns; organizing annual fund initiatives; executing fundraising events; managing public relations strategy; and board trainings.
