Description
Get outside and support our local community this Earth Week! We’re putting together a crew to support the Charles River Watershed Association’s 24th Annual Charles River Cleanup. We’ll be at Benjamin Mills Park (near 1 Washington Street in Wellesley) on Friday, April 21, 10 a.m. to noon to assist with trash pick up and trail maintenance in this beautiful spot along our favorite river.
Gloves, bags, and all tools will be provided – plus lunch afterward! Space is limited, and pre-registration is required.
The Earth Day Charles River Cleanup builds on a national effort as part of American Rivers’ National River Cleanup®, which has removed over 25 million pounds of trash from America’s waterways. Organized by the Charles River Watershed Association, the cleanup brings together over 3,000 volunteers each year to pick up litter, remove invasive species and assist with park maintenance along all 80 miles of the Charles River.
