About Us

Captain Marden’s Seafoods was founded by my father, Master Mariner Captain Roy Wilfred Marden in 1945 as a single retail store west of Boston. His mission was simple…offer the very best seafood in town.

Since then, Captain Marden’s has grown to include over one hundred employees working in our restaurant, retail market, mobile food truck and wholesale division. We offer a line of delicious frozen entrées shipped overnight coast-to-coast. Our fleet of over twenty-five trucks deliver daily to area restaurants and supermarkets from our highly-respected wholesale operation located in Westwood.

Over the years, however, one thing has remained constant: our genuine (and some say obsessive) commitment to quality, freshness, and simplicity. It is what continues to earn us our reputation as “simply the best” when it comes to New England seafood.

Captain Marden’s remains a family owned and operated business, with my son, daughter, nephew and I involved in various aspects of the business. History and tradition have kept Captain Marden’s on the right track thus far and will continue to do so into the future. If you can't visit us at The Captain’s Table and TakeAway or at our Wellesley retail store, then look for our seafood on the menus of the area’s finest restaurants or in your local supermarket.
