Description
Each year the Chamber’s Lawyers Council presents an opportunity to hear first-hand from a judge about their view from the bench and some of the interesting cases they heard. This year, we’re especially pleased to invite you to a special conversation with Supreme Judicial Court Associate Justice Kimberly S. Budd.
A Newton resident, Budd was appointed to the state’s highest court in 2016 by Gov, Charlie Baker. Previously she served as Associate Justice of the Massachusetts Superior Court. Budd received a Bachelor’s degree in English from Georgetown University, graduating magna cum laude in 1988, and a law degree from Harvard Law School in 1991. Budd’s grandfather Joseph Budd was the first African American police officer in Springfield, Massachusetts, and her father, Wayne Budd, is a former U.S. attorney.
